Ready Player One Review

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline is one of the best books I have ever read. It begins with a billionaire who is responsible for creating the world’s most popular and immersive videogame, OASIS, dying. However, he has no heirs, so he decides to give his entire fortune and estate to the person who finds his “Easter egg” first. Basically, an Easter egg is something hidden in the code of a game by the developers. He has hidden it behind three doors which can only be unlocked by three keys. Five years pass and no one has found any of the keys, until one day when an avatar named Parzival finds the copper key. However, an evil corporation known as IOI plans to find the egg and take over OASIS to add advertising and a monthly fee to the game. Parzival has to team up with Art3mis, Aech, Daito, and Shoto to get the egg before IOI gets it. This story is perfectly paced, has an interesting plot, great characters, and is very fun to read.  This book is going to be made into a movie in the near future, so read the book before you watch the movie.
