The Beyonders series by Brandon Mull is about two kids who get sent to a different universe in an area called Lyrian. Lyrian is ruled by an evil emperor named Maldor. Maldor is the last of a powerful group of wizards after a war between three of the most powerful wizards at the time. Jason and Rachel both accidently come to Lyrian and when they first get there, their only goal is to get home. After meeting up with the leader of the rebellion against Maldor, their goals start to change to defeating Maldor. The leader of the rebellion, The Blind King, tells them they need to find six vowels to a word that can undo Maldor. They go on a quest to find this word and defeat the evil emperor, meeting many other races and challenges on the way. This leads them to travel across Lyrian and muster an army. They go on a final siege at Maldor’s main base and learn a secret that they couldn’t expect. In this epic three book series, you will find magic, romance, action, mystery and a well written plot. I really suggest this series and Brandon Mull’s other books to anyone who is a fan of fantasy.
